The C-Villians...

Originally conceived as a rotating cast of players, The C-villians have evolved into a core group. They are musicians of extraordinary talent, and taste. Hand selected to compliment a multitude of musical styles and situations. They are friends and peers from many walks of life, brought together to give motion to Andy's visionary song craftsmanship. Together, they move effortlessly between pop, rock , jazz, and funk. Bringing a fresh new approach to each piece.

From the bottom up:

Nate Brown, Drums-Backing Vocals:
Nate studied Music at James Madison University in Harrisonburg, Va. While attending JMU, Nate co -founded of the internationally known rock band e:verything. The popularity and success of e: can not be forgotten. With a ten year touring history, Major Label recording contract with Sire Records offshoot BlackBird Records, and a smash radio single in the summer of 1999 "The Hooch". They really did it all. And who was driving that big machine? that's right, Nate Brown. Nate's drumming is confident, groove oriented, and smooth. He also sings like a bird and lends his awesome harmony power to Andy's voice to create a truly original sonic tapestry.

Bj Pendleton, Bass- backing vocals
Bj hails from the tough as steel city of Pittsburgh, PA. He has lived and made music in Charlottesville for many years. As the house engineer for the Starr Hill Music Hall, Bj has worked with, and absorbed from, many of the worlds top musicians. He has put that world experience to good use, most notably in the form of his original funk/rock band, Man Mountain Jr. for whom he plays bass, and is the lead singer. MMJ have made an indelible mark in the VA music scene with hundreds of shows, great musicianship, and an ever evolving mix of players. He brings rock solid bass playing to The C-villians, and a great vibe on stage, and off.

Tevis Marshall, Keyboards
A masterful organist, pianist and composer, Tevis brings years of experience with him to the C-villians. His musical past is as varied and diverse as his current style. From soul to classical, and jazz to funk he plays it all....very well. Past projects include playing keys and writing songs for critically acclaimed jam rock band Humble Sacrifice. He also writes and records solo piano Cd's in the soul jazz vein. As a member of the C-villians, Tevis brings vast chordal knowledge and awesome, passionate solo work. He is the best of the best.

Andy Rowland, Sax An easier way to describe what projects Andy Rowland has worked with in VA, would be to say what he has NOT done...a much shorter list. In addition to getting frequent studio calls to record on different artists CD, Andy keeps a live show schedule that would embarrass most seasoned players. The man works hard. He plays funk, jazz blues and rock styles with equal flair and conviction. He can be counted on to know exactly what the right thing to play is, at any time. His solo work is most impressive. His control and dynamic range are what a band leader/songwriter dream of, and he is a great team player. Enough said.
